The purpose of this section is to provide answers to common
questions related to the mission website and the mission.
- Who is responsible for this mission website?
Sean Bryson purchased the domain names for saopaulosul.com and saopaulosul.org in 1998 to
host information about the mission. Sean owns the servers that are used to host
the mission website helping to reduce costs and Sean pays the domain fees and hosting
fees for the site.
- Wasn't there another website for the mission at XMission?
Yes, there was another website that provided information about the mission. This site
was created in 1996 by David Kennison. David did a wonderful job on the site and provided
a great service to the mission. David's site was removed from XMission in late 2003
with little notice. At that time, this site took over the responsibility as the primary
site for the Brazil São Paulo South Mission.
- Can I help on the mission website?
Of course! We always need more help. If you have technical skills you would like to
contribute, we could use people that know C#, ASP.NET (1.1 and 2.0), graphic design,
SQL Server (2000 and 2005), web services, and .NET Remoting. If you don't have these
skills but would still like to help, we always need help with translations, spreading
the word about the site, and feedback about new features.
- Can I contribute money to the mission website?
If you are feeling so generous, you may contribute what you feel appropriate! It is
in no way required or suggested. You can also donate money to the LDS Mission Network.
Keep in mind, any money donated the LDS Mission Network does not help support the
Brazil São Paulo South Mission, though.
- Can I add information to the site?
Yes! One of the improvements in the new site is once logged in, you can add news items,
announcements, pictures and maps of cities, stakes, and areas, history, information on
where you served (missionaries) or where you live (members) and much more. The aim of
the new site is to provide more ownership to the community.
- Can I request a new feature for the website?
Of course! If you have an idea that would make the site better, please feel free to
share it with us and we will review it and determine the complexity of building the
feature. If you would like to help build the feature, you are also more than welcome!
