I would go with whatever feels comfortable. I personally like the cotton-poly blend. They held up nicely for me. All clothing lasts longer if you use the brush less on it. What I'm talking about is that most of my areas I had to wash my clothes by hand in a cement sink that had a wash board built into it. To get the stains out sometimes required the use of a scrub brush. These brushes are very stiff and are hard on clothing.
Side note on clothing. If you save a new shirt for later in your mission, remove all metal and then refold it. I saved one and forgot to take the pins out. When I went to use it, it had little rust stains everywhere the pins were.

I was also pleased with the cotton/poly blend. And definitely do not use the wash board unless it is slick. If there are any "chunks" taken out of the cement, or the surface is rough, it will tear your clothes up real quick. I had quick and easy laundry days on the floor of the shower, just rubbing the shirt or whatever against itself. It is not as hard on the cloth as using a brush or wash board.
Good luck! Boa Sorte!

Sorry, I forgot about the suits. I would stay pretty conservative with maybe a dark blue suit. I also wouldn't worry too much about making a really nice one, since you won't be wearing it all that often. And closer to the end of your mission you might want to give one or both of them away to a future Brasilian Missionary.

Washboards? Scrub brushes? Things must have really changed since I was on my mission. We all paid a member to do our laundry when I was there!
